Thank you for your interest in the Built Environment Education Program (BEEP): Architecture by the Book.

This program provides free downloadable PDF lessons and presentations for classroom or community use. The lessons focus on an architect or architectural concept, and include a book and activity recommendation.

The lessons are flexible for a variety of uses and ages. There are 17 lessons currently under development, to be uploaded as they are completed.

An important aspect of this program is to “add an architect” to help support / lead a lesson. Click here to search for a volunteer architect in your community.  A local architect can work with you to select a lesson and together you can develop an enriching and fun experience learning about architecture.

Have FUN and please share your feedback (and photos!) with CAF: kanderson@aiacalifornia.org.

Architecture by the Book© was inspired and developed by AIA Central Valley and is powered by CAF in collaboration with AIA California architecture firms and a grant from the AIA College of Fellows. CAF extends our heartfelt gratitude to all involved.
