The Chester and Diana Widom Architectural Education Scholarship was established in 2017 by Chet Widom, FAIA and his wife Diana Widom in honor or Paul Welch Jr. Hon AIA.

This scholarship provides opportunities to community college students from California to pursue their architectural education. Scholarship recipients will receive up to $5,000 to help offset the costs of higher education in architecture and design. Awards can be used for qualified tuition and related expenses and/or to otherwise improve or enhance your capacity, skill or talent in the field of architecture.

Applications are due February 1, 2024 by 11:59pm PT EXTENDED through March 1, 2024

• California resident
• Community college student newly accepted to an accredited school of architecture

*Proof of enrollment is not required with the application submission. Scholarship funds will be sent to recipients once enrollment status can be confirmed.
