The California Architectural Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting excellence in architecture through scholarships, grants, and educational programs–bridging the gap between the academic and professional worlds. CAF exists to provide a mechanism for members of the AIA and the general public to contribute to an organization with a great benefit to society.

Ignite A Passion for Architecture
CAF’s K-12 education Programs ignite an interest in architecture and the important role architects play in solving critical challenges facing our communities, our state and our planet. Our Built Environment Education Program (BEEP) introduces students of all ages to architecture and showcases the diversity and remarkable skills within the profession.
Champion The Next Generation
The new California Architectural Practice Experience (capX) program provides a statewide framework for hands-on, practical experience primarily for individuals who have not yet graduated or are very early on their path to becoming licensed architects. The program aims to create a community of architecture firms, emerging professionals, and educational institutions working collaboratively to build a stronger architectural profession in California.
